Inter-house School Sport

Students from the 4 houses Drake, Jervis, Hawke and Nelson annually compete in full day swimming and athletic carnivals.

2008 Swimming Carnival

Held early in February at Trafalgar Pool. This carnival was a mass of colour and chanting as the 4 houses did battle against each other led by their house captains. The day included 100m, 50m and 25m stroke events as well as many novelty races ensuring that every child, even non-swimming ones, had the opportunity to compete in at least two events. The individual results are used to select the School team to compete in the West Gippsland Carnival in March.

2008 Athletics Carnival

The weather was perfect for the sports this year with the students wonderfully dressed in their house colours along with sunglasses, hat and a thick layer of sunscreen. The whole school travelled by bus to the Joe Carmody track for the carnival. The superior artificial track and other facilities make it an outstanding venue, resulting in very high standards being set. Students on and off the field soaked up the spectacular atmosphere with plenty of activities to keep not only the students occupied but teachers and visiting family members as well.   As with the swimming, the individual results are used to select the school team that will be competing in the West Gippsland competition which will be held on Thursday, 1st May.
