Students from the 4 houses Drake, Jervis, Hawke and Nelson annually compete in full day swimming and athletic carnivals.

2009 Swimming Carnival

 

 

 

 

 

 

The 2009 Swimming Carnival was held late in February at Trafalgar Pool. This carnival was a mass of colour and chanting as the 4 houses did battle against each other led by their house captains. The day included 100m, 50m and 25m stroke events as well as many novelty races ensuring that every child, even non-swimming ones, had the opportunity to compete in at least two events. The individual results are used to select the School team to compete in the West Gippsland Carnival in March.

2009 Athletics Carnival

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On a overcast day the House Athletics carnival was conducted at the Newborough Athletics track on Friday 24th April. With a very dedicated group of students and staff, the day was a complete success with all traditional events conducted along with novelty events, like the gumboot throw. With the rain always threatening there were some sensational performances.

Interschool Sport

Trafalgar High School competes against the other schools in West Gippsland region, (Drouin, Warragul and Neerim South Secondary Colleges), in the first round of the VSSSA sports competitions. A round robin day is held each term to allow as many games as possible to be played before the winners progress to the next round. Teams are formed in year levels, (7, 8, 9 & 10 combined and senior).
